01

Who we are

This policy is issued by VectoRise ("VectoRise", "we", "us", or "our"), a technical consultancy based in Chantilly, Virginia, United States. This site is operated at vectorise.dev.

If you have questions about this policy or about personal information we hold, email contact@vectorise.dev.

02

What this policy covers

This policy describes how we collect, use, and share personal information when you visit this website, submit the contact form, email us, or otherwise deal with us as a prospective or current client in connection with the site.

It does not replace the confidentiality, data processing, or security terms in a signed statement of work, master services agreement, or non-disclosure agreement. If those documents say something different about a client engagement, those documents control for that engagement.

03

Information we collect

Information you give us. If you use the contact form or email us, we collect the name, work email, and message you send, plus any files or context you choose to include. Do not send passwords, payment card numbers, or health or government ID numbers through the site.

Information collected automatically. Like most sites, our hosting provider may record technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use this to operate, secure, and diagnose the site.

We do not require an account to browse the site. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

04

How we use information

We use personal information to respond to inquiries, scope possible work, operate and secure the site, keep records of business correspondence, and meet legal, accounting, and insurance obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use contact-form contents to train public AI models. We do not use your inquiry as a public case study without your permission.

05

Legal bases (where they apply)

If you are in a jurisdiction that requires a legal basis, we rely on: taking steps at your request before a contract; our legitimate interests in running a consultancy and securing the site; compliance with law; and consent where we ask for it.

If you are in Virginia, the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act may give you rights described below. Similar rights may apply under other US state laws.

06

Sharing

We share personal information with service providers who help us run the business, such as website hosting and email delivery of contact-form inquiries. They are allowed to use the information only to perform work for us.

We may share information if required by law, to protect VectoRise, our clients, or the public, or in connection with a merger, financing, or sale of the business, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not share personal information with advertisers or data brokers.

07

Retention

Inquiry records are kept as long as needed to handle the conversation and for a reasonable period afterward for business continuity, disputes, and legal hold. Server logs are kept for a shorter operational window unless we need them for security review.

Client-engagement records follow the retention rules in the contract and applicable law.

08

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to a consultancy website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Do not send highly sensitive material through the public form.

09

Cookies

We use only what is needed for the site to function, such as session or similar storage. We do not currently run advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels.

If we add analytics later, we will update this policy and, where required, provide a choice.

10

Your rights

Subject to law, you may ask us to confirm whether we hold personal information about you, to access it, to correct it, to delete it, or to opt out of certain processing. Virginia residents may also have the right to appeal a refusal. To make a request, email contact@vectorise.dev from the address we should associate with the request.

We may need to verify your identity and we may decline requests that the law allows us to decline, including where another person's rights or our legal obligations are involved.

11

International visitors

The site is operated from the United States. If you contact us from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection rules than your country.

12

Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy for that use.

This page is a public website policy. It is not a substitute for advice from your own counsel, and it is not the contract for a client engagement.
